Here you can see that the tail light has two ways to attch the wires: with those
unused spade connectors you see hanging down, or by just sticking bare wires
into two holes, with a clever "pincher" that holds them in and makes electrical
contact, all with the flip of a lever. BTW, that's clear insulation you see, not
bare copper! Only the last 4mm or so inside has had the insulation stripped off.
The tail light is nice and bright and noticeable, and has a stand-light feature.
(The light stays on for a while when you stop, even though the dynamo hub
isn't putting out any juice — the light has a capacitor to store some charge.)
Using the tail light doesn't dim the headlight at all; the hub dynamo has plenty
of capacity to power both to their full brightness. (I'm not a stockholder, honest.)
