existing rectangular decal, producing a very unusual SQUARE decal. If
you look at the left border of this decal, it's 1/3rd "Guaranteed Built
With", 1/3 "531", and 1/3 gold band. This decal was used by Raleigh
(who owned reynolds) but not by anyone else, except perhaps Holdsworth
(I think I saw one once on a Holdsworth.)
Very soon after, the entire "Reynolds Tube Co. Inc." decal was
redesigned to be rectangular, and there was a "Reynolds Tube Co. Inc."
decal that was shipped in the 1974-5 era which was rectangular, like
the 76-82 decals. The proportion of this decal, on the left border,
is 40%, 40%, 20%, not 33-33-33%.
